  • South Africa/ KZN/ Ilembe District/ near Glendale A Weight-shift-control Trike (ZU-IAF) hit some power lines and crashed. The pilot died in the crash.

  • US/ TX/ Addison/ Addison Airport (KADS) A Lancair IV-P Propjet airplane (N992BC) collapsed landing gear on second attempt for landing. Aircraft skidded off the runway, causing damage to the left wing and prop of the experimental Gill built Lancair IV-P Propjet.

  • US/ CA/ NAS Lemore US Navy Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jet was parked when a car pursued by the police hit it. Both occupants of Jeep died.

  • Canada/ BC/ Salmon Arm/ Mount Ida, near Salmon Arm Airport (CZAM) A training Cessna 152 (C-GONF) crashed in wooded terrain while practicing touch-and-go landings. The aircraft was substantially damaged and the solo student pilot was rescued with only minor injuries.

  • UK/ North Yorkshire/ Breighton, near Selby/ Breighton Aerodrome A Piper PA-28-161 Cherokee Warrior III (G-EHAZ) ran off the end of the runway and crashed through the Perimeter fence onto a road. Pilot and passenger escaped without injury.

  • France/ Sondernach (Haut-Rhin) A Robin HR.100-210 Safari (HB-EUM) crashed in a forest at Munster valley and caught fire. The pilot, a Swiss doctor (55), sole on board, died.

  • Poland/ Chmielewo near Pultusk A Tecnam P2002-JF trainer jet (SP-RWZ) crashed. Both occupants in mid-30ies died and post impact fire consumed the aircraft.

  • Venezuela/ San Jose Miranda/ Lake Maracaibo, near Sabaneta de Palmas A Cessna 421B Golden Eagle (HI938) ditched in lake Maracaibo on landing. It is supposed the plane to have been used for carrying drug.

  • Germany/ Flußbach / Lexem (Landkreis Bernkastel-Wittlich) A gyroplane made a forced landing in a field.

  • Mexico/ 111 km (69.4 mls) W of Durango-Guadalupe Victoria Airport (DGO) A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (XA-ULU) was destroyed in a forced landing in a river bed. The engine lost power and the speed dropped. The pilot then prepared for a forced landing in a river. The left wing hit a tree and the aircraft then impacted very large stones in the bed of the river, causing the aircraft to split in two. Three of the ten occupants onboard died. Seven were injured.
