| Armenian passenger plane crashed in stormy weather 02.05.2006/22:15 GMT Russia/Sochi An Armenian passenger plane Airbus A-320 belonging to the Armenian airline Armavia, crashed in stormy weather off Russia's Black Sea coast as it was headed in for a landing, killing all 113 people on board. It disappeared from radar screens at 2:15 a.m. l.t. about 6 km from the shore and crashed after making a turn toward the Adler airport near Sochi. The plane broke up on impact with the water, and wreckage was thrown into wide arc. Officials believed the crash was due to the pure weather. |

| Еърбъс на Армавиа се разби в морето край Сочи 02.05.2006/22:15 по Гринуич Русия/Сочи Самолет А-320 (рег. № ЕК-32009) на арменската авиокомпания Armavia със 105 пътника и 8- членен екипаж на борда се разби във водите на Черно море на 6 км от брега, приблизително на линията на подхода за кацане на летище Адлер край Сочи. 113-те души на борда са загинали. Самолетът е изпълнявал полет от Ереван за Сочи. При подход за приземяване на ПИК-1 е получил нареждане от Кулата за преминаване на втори заход с пренасочване към ПИК-2, поради динамиката в МТО обстановката довела до условия под допустимия минимум за писта-1. Вероятно параметрите на полета в тази фаза са се оказали недостатъчни за изпълнение на маньовъра и той се сринал в морето под ъгъл от 60 градуса. Спасителните екипи събират отломки, личен багаж и телата на жертвите пръснати в широка дъга от омасленото петно на мястото на катастрофата. За изясняване на катастрофата е изключителво необходимо да бъдат открити черните кутии. Основна версия за причините на катастрофата е лошото време. |

This plane had been "remanufactured" into airtanker-firefighter by Conair Aviation and Kelowna Flightcraft Ltd. The plane was involved in a training exercize just after noon Sunday when it crashed about 1,5 kms from the province's forest firefighting centre at the La Ronge airport. |
