Транспортен самолет
Ил-76 с регистрационен номер RF-76801, принедлежащ на министерството на вътрешните работи на Русия, се разби при излитане от летище Мирни в Република Саха (Якутия). При катастрофата загинали всичките 11 души на борда - членове на основния и резервния екипаж.
Самолетът пристигнал от летище Ермолино, Калужка област и след разтоварването му излетял отново около 02:49 ч. московско време (01:49 ч. българско време) за Иркутск, но не успял да набере височина, а едва 20-ина метра и с крен надясно прелетял 2,5 км от края на пистата където се забил в натрупване от рудна шлака. При удара се разпаднал на части и възпламенил.
Катастрофата станала в безлюдна местност, поради което жертви на земята няма.
Бордовите самописци са открити.
Води се разследване.

Военно-транспортный самолет Ил-76, бортовой номер RF-76801, принадлежащий Внутренним войскам МВД России, разбился в воскресенье после вылета из аэропорта города Мирный в Якутии. Находившиеся на борту 11 человек - члены основного и сменного экипажей - погибли.
Самолет вылетел в воскресенье утром из Мирного без груза на борту и взял курс на Иркутск. Он упал после столкновения с возвышенностью в трех километрах от аэропорта и загорелся.
Самолет упал в безлюдном месте, поэтому разрушений жилых домов и производственных строений на месте падения нет.
Самолет выполнял плановый полет по замене личного состава органов внутренних дел в Северо-Кавказском регионе РФ. Дозаправка должна была состояться в Норильске.
Во время вылета из аэропорта Мирный погода была ясная, скорость ветра составляла 6 метров в секунду. В момент отрыва от взлетно-посадочной полосы самолет взлетел с креном на правую сторону и продолжал полет на высоте около 20-30 метров на протяжении 2 километров и натолкнулся на высокий рудный отвал.
Бортовые самописцы самолета были найдены в 2,5 километрах от взлетно-посадочной полосы аэропорта. Идет расследование.

A Russian heavy-lift cargo plane, owned by the Russian Ministry of Interior, crashed on takeoff Sunday in Siberia,
killing all 11 crew members on board, officials said.
The cause of Sunday's crash was not yet known. The four-engine plane had just taken off from Mirny in the Sakha Republic and climbed to a height of 20-30 metres when it banked to the right.
The plane was unable to gain altitude and hit a slag heap from an old mine. It crashed, exploding on impact. The plane, which was headed to Irkutsk, was carrying no cargo but its fuel tanks were full.
The
IL-76 with registration RF-76801 crashed about a mile from the runway 24 at Mirny in open fields.
No one on the ground was reported hurt.
The bodies of all 11 crew members were recovered.
Flying conditions were good, with clear skies, light winds and temperatures of minus -24 deg C.
The "black boxes" have been found.
An investigation is underway.

Самолетът бил арендован от авиокомпанията Sudan Airways и  изпълнявал полет SUD2241 с направление Хартум, Судан. Очевидци разказват, че самолетът се наклонил внезапно надясно при опита си да набере височина и паднал на километър северно от летището. При катастрофата, последвала експлозия и изгорял напълно. Шестчленният екипаж загинал. Самолетът превозвал товар от 31 тона, споделят властите на летището. Намерени са бордовите самописци.
Все още няма официална версия за причините на катастрофата, но една от възможните, заключавайки от разказите на очевидците, е недобре закрепен товар, което би довело до неустойчивост на самолета при излитането.

Boeing 707, номер ST-AKW, на борту которого находились шесть человек, разбился неподалеку от аэропорта города Шарджа в Объединенных Арабских Эмиратах и  полностью сгорел. Авиакатастрофа произошла минуты после взлета.
Все на борту
погибли.

A cargo plane, owned by a private Sudan-based company,
Azza Transport, crashed shortly after takeoff Wednesday from Sharjah airport near Dubai, killing at least six crew members.
The
Boeing 707 cargo plane (ST-AKW) operated by Sudan Airways flight SUD2241 took off from runway 30 at 15:29 and went down in unpopulated desert about two miles (three kilometers) north of the airport. Witnesses described seeing the plane swing sharply to the right shortly after takeoff as it struggled to gain altitude.The wreckage was spread over a wide area near the Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club. Little of the plane remained intact. The four-engine Boeing 707 is an older model airplane that was primarily in use during the 1960s and 1970s.
“The aircraft was not overloaded. Usually they take up to 40 tonnes of cargo and today it was only 31 tonnes", officials said.
The "black box" flight recorders that should contain information about the flights have been recovered.

Миг-23УБ се разби при демонстрационни полети по време на Третото либийско авиационно изложение LAVEX 2009. Двамата пилоти - полковници, са загинали. Самолетът летял на пределно малка височина, когато неочаквано пропаднал и се забил в квартал на Триполи, само на 2 км от площадките със зрители на летище Митига.
Разрушени са 4 сгради. В една от тях като по чудо само
с леки наранявания са се разминали трима души.

A Libyan
MiG-23UB has crashed into a residence near the Libyan capital of Tripoli, killing two pilot officers at the rank of colonel and injuring several locals.
The incident took place on Wednesday as the aircraft was taking part in the Third Libyan Aviation Exhibition (LAVEX 2009), the AFP news agency said.
The jet was flying a low level as it was taking part in the air show. It went down when its nose dived hitting a one storey house.
The injured reportedly included three residents of the house where the crash occurred. The house, located in the suburban Soug-Ejemaa district, was heavily damaged.

Haiti/Fonds-Verrettes - A surveillance plane assigned to the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Haiti crashed into a mountain Friday,
killing all 11 military personnel on board.
The Uruguayan
CASA 212-200 airplane (FAU-531/ UN-146) went down in rugged terrain west of Fonds-Verrettes near the border with the Dominican Republic.
Rescue teams had to reach the area by foot because there were no roads nearby, and they found no survivors.
All bodies were recovered and would be taken back to the capital of Port-au-Prince, according to a statement from the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Haiti.
The victims were 6 Uruguayan crew members and 5 Jordanian military personnel serving with the 9,000-strong U.N. peacekeeping force that has been in Haiti since a 2004 rebellion ousted former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
The United Nations has began an investigation into the crash, officials said.

Two Military Planes Collide, Coast Guard Searching for Pilot Off Charleston Coast

The Air Force says that two
F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets assigned to the 20th Fighter Wing collided over the Atlantic Ocean. Authorities say the collision happened around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday towards the end of a training session off the coast of Charleston, S.C. The aircraft, from Shaw Air Force Base, were participating in night training maneuvers.
The aircraft carried one person each. One F-16 was able to land safely at Charleston AFB with the help of two other pilots who were also training at the time. That F-16, piloted by Capt. Lee Bryant, was able to land safely and was unharmed.
Missing is Capt. Nicholas Giglio. Giglio’s F-16 collided with the other  F-16. Shaw AFB contacted the Coast Guard to assist in the search for the missing pilot.
Air Force officials say they do not believe that Giglio ejected from the aircraft. Officials add that the beacons on Giglio's seat have not sent off a signal. Officials describe Giglio as a good pilot who has been a fighter pilot for a year and a half.
