The death toll was contained in a statement issued by the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA). Six of the occupants survived. The plane crashed on takeoff. Killed in the crash were lt-generals Bernardo Leitao Francisco Diogo "Lelo Kizua" and Elias Malungo Bravo da Costa Pedro "Kalias", brig. Demosthenes Katata, colonels Miguel Estevao, Elias de Jesus Vasco Cunha and Fonseca Lu?s Ventura. Also killed in the crash were lt.-Colonels Antonio Garcia Goncalves and Pascoal Jose Mateus Pedro, maj. Americo Vasco Brandao, Navy captain Goncalo Simao Mendes, and sergeant Joao Andrade Nascimento dos Santos. Six civilians, including two women and two children also died in the crash. The crew survived the accident. They are captain Lino Calue, co-pilot Ibraim Navidade, flight engineer Gomes de Almeida, and flight assistant Celma Ventura, sergeant Joao Gomes, and an unidentified civilian. Твърди се, че при разгона не е достигнал изискваната скорост за излитане. На борда на самолета е имало 37 пътници и осем души екипаж. Двама души са оцелели - хокеистът А. Галимов и стюардът А. Сизов, но състоянието им е крайно тежко. На борда на самолета били играчи и треньори на хокейния клуб "Локомотив" от Ярославл. Чартърният полет до Минск е трябвало да превози хокеистите на трикратния шампион на Русия, за първия им мач с "Динамо" от Континенталната хокейна лига. Според руското министерство на извънредните ситуации на борда е имало 11 чужденци, от които 3 чехи, 3 беларуси, словак, швед, канадец и др. Част от фюзелажа на самолета паднал в река Волга. Основните версии за катастрофата са две - техническа неизправност или грешка при пилотирането. От авиофорум става ясно, че диспечерите са изискволи от екипажа да излети по-бързо (причината не е ясна), а вторият пилот е бил новак в пилотирането на Як-42, като преди това е бил пилот на Як-40. Forty-three people were killed and two survived. Russian ice hockey player Alexander Galimov survived the crash along with a crewmember, Alexander Sizov, but they were critically injured. The wreckage came to rest in the Volga River. The airplane carried members of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl ice hockey team for a match in Minsk. The Emergency Ministry said Czech players Josef Vasicek, Karel Rachunek and Jan Marek, Swedish goalie Stefan Liv, Canadian coach Brad McCrimmon, Latvian defenseman Karlis Skrastins and defenseman Ruslan Salehi of Belarus were among those killed. Slovakian national team captain Pavol Demitra, who played in the NHL for the St. Louis Blues and the Vancouver Canucks, was also among the dead, officials said. The airplane travelled past the end of the runway onto the grass, lifting off about 400 metres past the threshold. It contacted obstacles until it crashad and broke up on the side of the river. 18 killed in Indonesia plane crash 29.09.2011/ 00:35 GMT Indonesia/ Bahorok A CASA 212 Aviocar passenger plane, registered PK-TLF and operated by Nusantara Buana Air, was reported missig during a domestic flight between Medan and Kutacane, Indonesia. The airplane departed at 07:28 with an estimated time of arrival of 08:03. Contact with the flight was lost at 07:35. The wreckage was spotted in a forest, but rescue parties had to abandon their attempts to reach the site by helicopter because of poor visibility. A rescue party arrived at the scene on October 1, finding that all aboard had died. The search and rescue team said that 15 rescuers reached the crash site and found the bodies of the 14 passengers and 4 crew still on their seats. Four of the dead were children. Hopes had been raised that there might be survivors after the aircraft was spotted intact with one of its doors open. |
