South Africa/ WC/ Plettenberg Bay - A Pilatus PC-12 airplane (ZS-GAA) carrying employees including the CEO of the company Italtile has crashed into the sea near the Robberg Nature Reserve at Plettenberg Bay. The aircraft was on a flight between Queenstown and Plettenberg Bay when it encountered dense fog at the destination airport, limiting visibility to just 200m. The wreckage of the missing plane was located in the ocean this morning off the Robberg Peninsula. The NSRI has confirmed that there are no survivors.
The bodies of Gianpaolo Ravazzotti, chief executive of the Italtile group, was found among plane crash wreckage off the sea cliffs of a Garden Route nature reserve today.
Nine people - seven passengers and two pilots - were aboard the private Italtile airplane that crashed off the Robberg Nature Reserve near Plettenberg Bay.
Ravazzotti is the son of group chairman Gianni Ravazzotti. The others who died have been identified as Gia Celori (Italtile Ltd), Marilize Compion (Italtile Ltd), Sava Di Bella (Prima Bella Bathroom Accessories), Simon Hirschberg (Grainwave), Jody Jansen van Rensburg (CTM Alberton), Aletsia Krause (Italtile Ltd), Bronwyn Parsons (pilot, Italtile), and Alison van Staden (co-pilot).
A local pilot said planes were often diverted from Plett to oyher airports in thick mist as Plett airport did not have runway lights or equipment to assist the automated landing of aircraft. There is only an old-fashioned radio beacon to tell pilots when they are overhead.

Honduras/ Tegucigalpa/ Las Mesitas
Fourteen people, including three Americans, were killed when a small plane crashed close to the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa, authorities said on Monday.
The twin-engined Let L-410, registered HR-AUQ, was on a regular flight between the northern city of San Pedro Sula and the capital when it crashed in Las Mesitas, some 13 miles (20 km) north of Tegucigalpa, authorities said. There were no survivors.
Three U.S. citizens were among the dead, while the remainder on board were Honduran, authorities said.
"The last report we had was that the pilot was in an area of low visibility when he was trying to reach the runway," said Francisco Pacheco, manager of local airline Central American Airways.
The crash site was just south of Tegucigalpa at the top of a hill some 2,000 feet (600 meters) above sea level. The weather was cold and foggy, as it had been since the weekend.
The National Service of Civil Aviation said the accident happened a little after 8 a.m. (8:02 a.m. EST; 1302 GMT), minutes after air traffic controllers instructed the pilots to land.
The Let L-410 Turbolet was carrying two pilots and 12 passengers, including Assistant Secretary for Public Works Rodolfo Rovelo, United Workers Federation of Honduras leader Jose Israel Salinas and former Economy Secretary Carlos Chain, said airline manager Felix Pacheco.
One of the pilots had initially survived the crash, but died on the way to the hospital, he said.
The first people to arrive at the crash site were residents of the nearby village who found one of the pilots still alive. "It's sad to hear a person in the rubble asking, 'Help! Help! Help!' " said Jorge Sandrez, mayor of Santa Ana. Emergency personnel were searching for the data recorders to help in the investigation.
