Plane crashed in Sudan,

Sudan/ South Kordofan state/Talodi

Antonov An-26, belonging to Alfa Airlines, crashed in an accident near Talodi airport, killing 32 people including six high ranking Sudanese government officials, military personnel, politician, 5 media representatives and 6 crew-members.
The aircraft went down into a mountain near the airport due to limited visibility caused by a dust storm.
"Russian pilot
Gennady Semyonov was commander of the aircraft," said Yuri Vidakas, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Khartoum.
The crew of the Russian-made plane included Armenian and Tajik nationals.
All people on board were killed.
The ministerial delegation was heading to Talodi, 650 km southwest of Khartoum, to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr festival marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan with the Sudanese soldiers mobilised to fight a rebellion in South Kordofan.
Europe bans all Sudanese airlines, including Alfa, for safety reasons.
The doomed aircraft, a propeller-driven Antonov An-26, (ST-ARL), was about 35 years old but had passed mandatory maintenance checks, the managers said.
The crashed aircraft carried safety gear including weather radar, a Traffic Collision Avoidance System and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System.
The new company Alfa was formed in 2008 to replace a firm called Ababeel.
