На борда, освен три членния екипаж (руско-американски по националност) не е имало пасажери. При излитането единият от двигателите се е запалил, самолетът се преобърнал и получил значителни увреждания. При това бил обхванат от пламъци, но летищните пожарни команди бързо потушили огъня. Тримата от екипажа са ранени и настанени в болница. Двама от тях са в кома. По данни на транспортното министерство на РФ самолетът принадлежи на Nabban investment inc. business aviation, регистрирана на Вирджинските острови със собственик-компанията Wells Fargo bank Nord-West trusty (гр. "On take-off there was a flare-up in the area of the engine. Самолет разбился в 21:22 по местному времени (18:22 мск) при выполнении учебно-тренировочного полета. Истребитель, принадлежавший военной части 50185 министерства обороны Казахстана, упал в 5-6 километров от аэропорта. Имена погибших пилотов-это 31-летний А. Леонтьев и 28-летний Д. Федотов.В районе падения самолета обнаружен бортовой самописец ("черный ящик"). На месте происшествия работает комиссия минобороны, которая установливает причины авиакатастрофы. |

US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan say that eight US soldiers have been killed and 14 injured in a helicopter crash in the southeast of the country. The CH-47 Chinook transport helicopter came down a few hours before dawn in the Shahjoi district of southeastern province of Zabul, about 250 kilometres southwest of the capital, Kabul, 50 yards from the main highway between Kabul and Kandahar, and appeared to be destroyed and scattered in several pieces. The helicopter crashed in a mountainous, snow-covered area after the pilot suddenly lost power and control of the aircraft. The pilot was able to radio in that he was having engine problems. The coalition say the crash caused by engine failure althugh the Taliban claims to have shot it down. |
