Самолет Dornier 228-202 (9N-AHA) авиакомпании Sita Air, на борту которого находились 16 пассажиров и три члена экипажа, упал и загорелся в пятницу утром недалеко от аэропорта столицы Непала Катманду.

A Dornier 228-202 passenger plane (9N-AHA), operated by Sita Air, was destroyed when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Kathmandu-Tribhuvan Airport (KTM), Nepal. All 19 on board were killed. The airplane took off at 06:17, bound for Lukla Airport (LUA). Shortly after takeoff from runway 20, while at an altitude of 50 feet agl, the airplane suffered a bird strike. A vulture hit the right hand engine of the aircraft. Last radio contact with the flight was at 06:18 when the crew reported the bird strike. The pilot initiated a left hand turn in order to return to the airport. The plane caught fire, struck the ground and burst into flames.
Cellphone video shot by locals showed that the front section of the plane was on fire when it first hit the ground and that the pilot apparently had attempted to land the plane on open ground beside a river.
Soldiers and police sifted through the crash wreckage looking for bodies and documents to help identify the victims. Seven passengers were British and five were Chinese; the other four passengers and the three crew members were from Nepal, authorities said

An Antonov 28 passenger plane (RA-28715), operated by Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Air Enterprise, crashed on approach near Palana Airport, Kamchatka peninsula, Russia. The wreckage was located on the wooded slope of Mount Pyatibratka at a height of 900 metres.
Ten people died and four were seriously injured.
The crash may have been caused by weather conditions, human error or a technical malfunction, Russia’s Investigative Committee said.
The plane’s flight data recorder has been found.
An investigation is currently underway into the cause of the crash.
Regional authorities announced that the families of those killed will receive 200,000 rubles ($7,000) in compensation. Thursday has been declared a day of mourning in the region.

Пассажирский самолет Ан-28 (RA-28715), следовавший по курсу Петропавловск-Камчатский - Палана, исчез с радаров в 12:28 по местному времени. Позднее воздушное судно было обнаружено в районе поселка Палана лежащим на одном боку. На борту самолета находились 14 человек, десять пассажиров погибли,
4 получили серезные ранения.
Следствие озвучило три варианта причины катастрофы - техническая неисправность, погодные условия и действия экипажа. Было возбуждено уголовное дело по статье "нарушение правил движения воздушного транспорта: правоохранители изъяли записи переговоров диспетчерских служб с экипажем.
Росавиация вызвалась проверить ФГУП "Камчатское авиапредприятие", которой принадлежал самолет, на предмет организации летной работы и эксплуатации воздушных судов.
Пассажир, выживший при крушении Ан-28 на Камчатке, рассказал, что во время крушения пассажиры из хвостовой части вылетали наружу вместе с креслами. Тем временем специалисты обнаружили "черные ящики" разбившегося самолета. На самолете не было системы предупреждения столкновения с землей, поэтому пилоты могли не увидеть склон горы и столкнуться с ней.
