  • US/ PA/ Monongahela/ near Rostraver Airport (KFWQ) – A Calidus gyrocopter crashed in a wooded area killing the pilot.

  • Ecuador/ Pastaza/ Sarayacu – A Cessna T206H Stationair plane (HC-CLO) crashed shortly after takeoff killing 5, injuring 2 occupants onboard.

  • Philippines/ Davao del Norte province/ Panabo City – An agricultural Grumman G-164B AgCat (RP-R5388) crashed. No injuries.

  • El Salvador/ Lago Suchitlan – A military Piper PA-23 Aztec (FAS 003) crashed into a lake during a post-maintenance test flight. Three occupants onboard were killed, 1 was injured.

  • Pakistan/ Quetta – Pakistan Air Force CAC/PAC JF-17 Thunder jet crashed. The pilot ejected safely.

  • India/ Uttar Pradesh/ Bareilly – A military HAL Cheetah (Aerospatiale SA 315B Lama) helicopter crashed shortly after take-off. The aircraft is said to have been on a post-maintenance test flight. The 3 occupants onboard were killed.

 

02.10.2014

  • France/ Doubs/ near Montbeliard/ Bart – A Swiss Eurocopter EC130B4 (HB-ZJC) crashed near the Swiss border. Five persons onboard died and 2 were injured.

  • Bahrain/ Manama - A Marine and another crew member ejected from an MV-22 Osprey when the aircraft lost power and it appeared it might crash after takeoff from the USS Makin Island. The pilot of the Osprey regained control of the aircraft and safely landed it aboard the Makin Island while rescuers recovered the other crew member from the water.  The U.S. Marine presumed dead.

  • US/ TX/ Woodsboro/ Farm-to-Market Road 136 – A Bell 206B JetRanger II helicopter (N49746) made an emergency landing and was damaged. The 3 occupants were injured, one of them seriously.

  • Russia/ Tyumen-Roshino International Airport (TJM) – Yamal Airlines Boeing 737-528 (VP-BRQ), flight YC145, impacted birds during takeoff.

 

03.10.2014

  • Iraq/ between the towns of Beiji and al-Senniyah - Iraqi Air Force Mi-35M helicopter (YI-35X) was shot down by Islamic State fighters. Both occupants onboard were killed.

  • France/ Moret-Episy Airport (LFPU) – An OGMA (Auster) D.5/160 aircraft (F-PHSJ) crashed killing the pilot.

  • US/ ID/ Council/ Council Municipal Airport (U82) – A small plane crashed killing the pilot.

  • US/ FL/ Flagler County/ near Pellicer Creek - A training Sonex Waiex aircraft (N461MM) crashed killing the pilot.

  • US/ TX/ Wichita Falls - Air Evac Lifeteam Bell 206 LongRanger III ambulance helicopter crashed in the Texoma area early Saturday morning, killing one patient and injuring 3 crew members.

  • US/ CO/ Mesa County/ Colorado River/ near Loma – A Celier Xenon 2 gyrocopter crashed into the Colorado River killing the 2 occupants.

  • US/ TN/ Blount County – An Aeronca 7AC crashed on landing into some trees. Both occupants were injured.

  • US/ CA/ Nevada County Airport - A Rockwell International 690B firefighting plane (N700PQ) collapsed the main landing gear on landing, No injuries.

 

05.10.2014

  • US/ CA/ Lincoln/ near Lincoln Regional Airport (KLHM) – An Ace Baby Ace experimental aircraft flipped over on landing. No injuries.

  • US/ GA/ Atlanta/ SE of Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field (KFFC) – A SOCATA TBM700N (N536EM) force landed to school field terrain. Both occupants received minor injuries.

  • Switzerland/ Lausanne Airport – A Bucker Bu-133C Jungmeister aircraft (HB-MIP) flipped over on landing. No injuries.

 

06.10.2014

  • Australia/ NSW/ Knockrow – A Spectrum Fisher Mk1 ultralight plane (19-3860) crashed injuring seriously the pilot. Several days later he died due to his injuries.

  • US/ FL/ Tampa/ Hillsborough Bay/ near Peter O Knight Airport (KTPF) – A Progressive Aerodyne Searey seaplane (N345BT) impacted the waters. Both occupants received minor injuries.

  • Canada/ ON/ near Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier Int'l Airport (CYOW) – A Grob G115C plane (C-GBCG) crash landed in a field near Bank Street. No injuries.

  • US/ WA/ Camas/ Grove Field Airport (1W1) - Up to 12 planes were destroyed in a hangar fire, which destroyed 12-14 hangars at the airport. Destroyed were Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee (N4937L), at least two Beechcraft Bonanza, Cessna 180, Cessna 140, Cessna Cardinal and others.

  • Australia/ QLD/ 9km south-east of Cooktown Airport/ (Mount Cook) – A Bell 206B3 helicopter (VH-CLR) crashed on landing injuring the 4 occupants, two of them seriously.

  • Brazil/ BA/ Salvador – A military Aeromot AMT-200 Super Ximango motor glider (PR-BPM) made an emergency landing.

  • US/ CA/ Yosemite National Forest/ near Foresta – A Marsh S-2F3AT Turbo Tracker firefighting aircraft (N449DF) impacted a forested hillside during a fire suppression operation. The pilot died.

  • New Zealand/ west of Motueka/ Kahurangi National Park – A Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter (ZK-HBQ) with a pilot onboard is missing.

 

08.10.2014

  • UK/ Lincolnshire/ near Spalding/ Broadgate/ Weston Hills – USAF F-15D Eagle fighter jet (86-0182) came down in a field. The pilot ejected safely.

  • Iraq/ Beiji – An Iraqi Air Force Bell 407 helicopter was downed by ISIS with a shoulder fired missile. Both pilots died.

  • South Korea/ Province of Chungcheongbuk-do/ Jincheon County - South Korean Air Force Kamov Ka-32 crashed in a field. Two of the three crew members on board were injured.

  • Australia/ QLD/ Wooderson – An ICP Savannah ultralight plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The pilot died.

  • US/ AK/ northwest of Juneau/ Gustavus – A Cessna hit a dip in the landing strip while performing the touch-and-go, which caused the propeller to hit the ground and the plane to flip over. No injuries.

  • Australia/ SA/ Burra – An Airborne XT-912 microlight plane (T2-6273) crash landed at a golf course injuring the pilot.

  • US/ OR/ Bend/ near Bend Municipal Airport (KBDN) – A Piper PA-28-180 Archer (N32150) force landed to wooded terrain due to an engine failure. The pilot received minor injuries. The passenger was not wounded.

  • Brazil/ MG/ Juatuba – A Cessna-172N (PR-NAR) made ​​an emergency landing at a place known as Lagoa Seca. The 3 occupants were injured.

  • Dominican Republic/ border area near Pedernales – A military Bell OH-58A Kiowa helicopter crashed. Two of the four occupants received minor injuries.

  • Venezuela/ off Los Roques (SVRS) – A Rockwell 690C Jetprop 840 airplane (YV1315) crashed into the water, just offshore.

  • Russia/ Siberia/ 220 km east of Kyzyl - Tuva Airlines Mi-8T helicopter (RA-24614) with 12 occupants onboard is missing.

  • Australia/ SA/ Goolwa/ near Goolwa Airport (YGWA) – A Rihn DR-107 One Design plane (VH-EGT) crashed killing the pilot.

  • New Zealand/ Napier/ Westshore/ Hawke's Bay Airport (NZNR) – A training Cessna-P206 (ZK-DRD) crashed on takeoff and came to rest inverted. No injuries.

  • Iran/ near Zahedan – An Iranian Police Rockwell 690 Turbo Commander plane crashed killing the 3 crew-members and 4 high-ranking officers.

  • US/ MI/ Watervliet/ Paw Paw Lake – A Cessna 180B Skywagon floatplane (N180CT) crashed while trying to land on a lake. No injuries.

  • Afghanistan/ 13 km east of Mazar-e-Sharif - Royal Danish Air Force AgustaWestland EH101 Mk 512 helicopter (M-518) ended up on its side after a landing incident away from the base.

  • Austria/ Tyrol/ Zoeblen/ near Schonkahlers – A Robinson R22 Beta helicopter (D-HUGI) made an emergency landing on a hillside. The passenger suffered minor injuries.

  • Serbia/ Backi Jarak Airport – A Jihlavan Skyleader 600 airplane crashed and caught fire killing the 2 occupants.

  • US/ IL/ Chicago/ Palos Hills, SW of Chicago Midway Int'l Airport (KMDW) – A Beechcraft 58 Baron (N31EW) crashed about five minutes after takeoff. The 3 occupants (2 men and a woman) died.

  • US/ PA/ Lebanon County/ Palmyra/ South Forge Road/ near Reigle Field Airport (58N) – A Colombia LC41-550FG plane (N2507S) force landed to a road while on approach. No injuries.

  • US/ NV/ Lyon County/ NW of Wabuska – An ICP Savannah experimental aircraft (N991TP) and a Cessna-170B (N3558C) collided mid-air. The 2 pilots died.

  • US/ FL/ Boca Raton/ NW of Boca Raton Airport (KBCT) – A Cessna 180K Skywagon (N2590K) crashed in open field and came to rest upside down. Both occupants (a couple) on board received minor injuries.

  • Dominican Republic/ Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) – A BAe 3101 Jetstream 31 (HI-816) was destroyed in a runway excursion accident. Three of the thirteen occupants suffered minor injuries.

  • US/ ID/ Nampa/ Nampa Municipal Airport (KMAN) – A Foxair Kitfox Light Sport (N725KA) experienced a loss of directional control on landing and came to rest inverted. The 2 occupants received minor injuries.

  • Canada/ Thunder Bay harbour – A Cessna 180 plane crashed into Thunder Bay harbor. No injuries.

  • Venezuela/ municipio Piar/ 20 NM from El Manteco – An Antonov AN-2TP (YV-1940) had suffered a loss of engine power and crashed injuring the 2 occupants.

  • US/ OH/ Waynesville/ Caesar Creek Gliderport (2OH9) – A glider crashed. One of the two occupants onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ MA/ NW of Granville – A Piper PA-28-151 Warrior (N57SH) crashed in a field. No injuries.

  • Japan/ Kagoshima prefecture/ Ibusuki city/ Nishikata – A Cirrus SR20 plane (N176CD) crashed injuring slightly the pilot (an American citizen).

  • Japan/ Chofu Aerodrome (RJTF) – A Piper PA-28R-201T Arrow (JA59FB) made a belly landing. No injuries.

  • Australia/ QLD/ Coombabah Lakes environmental reserve - A Murphy Moose plane (VH-MFM) crashed in a wooded area shortly after takeoff injuring seriously the pilot.

  • Turkey/ Kocaeli Province/ Kartepe district – Turkish Navy Sikorsky S-70B-28 Seahawk helicopter crashed in a mountainous region. All 4 crew members died in the crash.

  • Algeria/ near Hassi Bahbah airbase - A Sukhoi Su-24MK bomber belonging to the Algerian Air Force crashed Monday afternoon in the southern locality of Hassi Bahbah, killing two crew members.

  • US/ IA/ Dubuque/ North of Dubuque Regional Airport (KDBQ) – A Piper PA-46-310P Malibu (N9126V) impacted wooded terrain on a second approach. The pilot died.

  • Italy/ Milan-Linate Airport (LIML) – A Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 (OE-FLP) was hit by an airport tractor, while the airplane was taxiing. The left wing sustained substantial damage.

  • US/ OR/ Portland-Mulino/ Mulino State Airport (4S9) – An American Legend AL3 aircraft (N167J) crashed on landing and came to rest inverted. No injuries.

 

14.10.2014

  • Australia/ VIC/ Chelsea – A Van's RV-6A plane (VH-JON) crashed into a house killing the pilot.

  • Russia/ Sakha Republic/ 290 kilometers from Tiksi – Alrosa Mi-8T helicopter (RA-24506) with 16 occupants on board crashed onto mobile homes on takeoff. No injuries.

  • India/ near Poona/ Theoor – IAF Sukhoi Su-30MKI jet (SB050) crashed on approach. Both pilots ejected safely.

 

15.10.2014

  • US/ CO/ Denver International Airport (DEN) – A Hawker 800XP corporate jet (N694ES) made a belly landing. The airplane suffered a tire burst on departure, causing damaged to the hydraulic system.

  • Bolivia/ Santa Cruz Airport – A military Team Tango Tango 2 plane (FAB-542) crashed on landing killing the 2 occupants.

  • Chile/ Collipulli – An agricultural Gippsaero GA200C Fatman plane (CC-AEZ) collided with an antennae and crashed injuring the pilot.

 

16.10.2014

  • US/ CA/ Big Bear City/ West of Big Bear City Airport (L35) – A Cessna 172S Skyhawk (N612SP) impacted forested terrain. The three occupants onboard the airplane received serious injuries.

  • Australia/ NSW/ Morton National Park/ west of Nowra – A Cessna-206 (VH-KRR) crashed due to an engine failure. No injuries.

  • US/ GA/ Cordele/ Crisp County-Cordele Airport (KCKF) – An Aeronca 7AC Champion (N946DR) crashed on takeoff killing 1, injuring seriously the other occupant.

  • US/ GA/ Gainesville/ near Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport – A Rockwell 112A Commander (N1148J) clipped a power pole and crashed during an attempted emergency return to the point of departure. One of the two occupants onboard the airplane was fatally injured and one occupant received serious injuries. He died in the hospital due to his injuries on 10-th November 2014.

  • Brazil/ SP/ Boituva – A Cessna 182A (PR-PEX) flipped over on landing. Both occupants were injured.

  • US/ WA/ Stanwood – An unregistered ultralight aircraft collided with power lines and crashed. No injuries.

  • US/ MO/ Branson/ Noland Road – A Hughes Aero Predator experimental aircraft (N912AM) crashed on approach injuring the 2 occupants seriously.

  • Brazil/ MG/ Juatuba – A Robinson R22 Beta helicopter (PT-LNA) crashed injuring the 2 occupants.

  • US/ LA/ Rayville/ John H Hooks Jr Memorial Airport (M79) – A Beechcraft 36 Bonanza (N143LH) experienced a loss of directional control during taxi and crashed. The sole pilot onboard received fatal injuries.

  • Turkey/ Balikesir province/ Burhaniye town – An agricultural Ayres S-2R-600 Thrush plane (TC-ZEC) crashed injuring the pilot.

  • Philippines/ province of Pangasinan/ Laoac – A training Cessna-172 plane (RP-C7555) made an emergency landing in a field and flipped over. No injuries.

  • UK/ near White Waltham Airfield (EGLM) – A training Piper PA-28-161 Cadet (G-BXJJ) crashed on approach injuring slightly the 2 occupants.

  • Canada/ AB/ Parkland County/ south of Stony Plain – A Cessna 182 airplane crashed onto brush terrain. The 2 occupants were injured.

  • India/ Mumbai - Singapore Airlines A380 passenger jet descending into Mumbai ran into turbulence. Twenty-two people were injured.

  • Germany/ 1,5 NM EAST of Egelsbach Airport – A Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter (D-HAVG) crashed while it was trying an emergency landing due to an engine failure.

  • Germany/ Augsburg Airport – A Socata TB-700B (D-FGYY) collapsed the nose gear and damaged the propeller on landing. No injuries.

  • US/ TX/ Jasper/ Jasper County Airport-Bell Field (KJAS) – A Lancair Legacy (N550AC) experienced an inflight fire and force landed to a field. The pilot received serious injuries.

  • US/ FL/ Everglades City/ Everglades Airpark (X01) – A Piper PA-24-260 Comanche (N254WM) overshot the runway, and came to rest upside down in shallow water. No injuries.

  • Switzerland/ Flugfeld Speck-Fehraltorf (LSZK) – A SIAI Marchetti S.205-18/R (N108MW) failed to gain height on takeoff.

  • US/ MA/ Beverly/ Beverly Municipal Airport (KBVY) – A training Piper PA-23-160 Apache G (N4462P) experienced a collapse of the right main landing gear on landing.

  • US/ OH/ Dayton/ Greene County-Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport (I19) – A training Cessna 172 Skyhawk plane experienced a loss of directional control and departed the runway on takeoff. The sole pilot onboard the airplane received minor injuries.

  • Bolivia/ near Trinidad Airport (TDD/SLTR) – A Cessna 206 (CP-2894) crashed on approach. The wing had struck a tree and the engine separated from the fuselage.

 

20.10.2014

  • Russia/ Moskva-Vnukovo Airport (VKO) – A Dassault Falcon 50EX corporate jet (F-GLSA) was destroyed in a takeoff accident with a snowplow at the Moscow's Vnukovo Airport in Russia. The three crew members and the passenger, CEO of oil company Total, Christophe de Margerie, were killed.

  • US/ AR/ Lonoke County/ South Bend – A Hawk Arrow II SLSA aircraft (N916H) impacted a tree. The sole pilot onboard was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

  • DR Congo/ 2 miles nort of Goma – An UN drone crashed, obviously after a technical malfunction.

  • US/ KS/ Moline - A F-16C Block 42E Fighting Falcon fighter jet collided midair with another F-16 jet during a training exercise and crashed. The pilot ejected safely. The other plane safely returned to its base in Tulsa.

  • US/ CA/ Big Bear City/ West of Big Bear City Airport (L35) – A Sonex plane (N91922) crashed shortly after takeoff killing the pilot.

  • Niger/ Niamey Airport - A U.S. military UAV crashed on the runway at Niamey.

 

21.10.2014

  • US/ AR/ Mountain Home/ near Baxter County Airport (KBPK) – A Zenith Zodiac XL (N601WR) impacted trees on takeoff. The pilot received minor injuries. The passenger onboard the aircraft was seriously injured.

  • US/ WI/ Phillips/ Big Dardis Lake/ NE of Price County Airport (KPBH) – A floatplane flipped inverted after an apparent gear-down landing on the waters of Big Dardis Lake.

  • Syria/ Aleppo/ Jarrah Airbase - The Syrian government claims to have destroyed, in a bombing mission, two of three MiG fighter jets that had fallen into the hands of IS.

  • Syria/ Aleppo/ Nayrab Airbase – Two L-39 Albatros planes were destroyed by rebels.

  • US/ NC/ Durham/ North of Lake Ridge Aero Park Airport (8NC8) – A Beechcraft D95A Travel Air plane (N64GM) impacted wooded terrain near Mitchie Lake, east of Bahama, NC. One of the occupants died, the other was seriously injured.

  • Taiwan/ Kaohsiung/ Zihguan District - Taiwan Air Force AIDC AT-3 training plane crashed after a mid-air collision with another AT-3. The pilot died.

 

22.10.2014

  • Cyprus/ 80 km SE of Larnaca – A Diamond DA 42 plane crashed killing the 2 occupants.

  • Namibia/ Eros – A Celier Aviation Xenon 2 RST gyroplane (V5-UMO) crashed into trees injuring slightly the pilot.

  • US/ NC/ Lexington – A Cirrus SR22 plane (N242MB) experienced an in-flight deployment of the emergency CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System) and subsequent landing to a field. No injuries.

  • US/ SC/ Hilton Head Island/ Hilton Head Airport (KHXD) – A Cessna 425 Conquest I plane (N784PF) made a belly landing. No injuries.

 

23.10.2014

  • US/ MD/ Frederick/ near Frederick Municipal Airport (KFDK) - Two aircrafts collided midair. The airplane, a Cirrus SR22 (N122ES), deployed the CAPS recovery parachute and came to rest upright in wooded terrain. The 2 occupants onboard received minor injuries. The helicopter, a Robinson R44 Raven II (N7518Q), was destroyed by impact with terrain and the 3 occupants onboard received fatal injuries.

  • Spain/ Madrid Cuatro Vientos (LECU) - A Piper PA-46-310P Malibu (HB-PLD) made a belly landing and it was damaged.

  • China/ Zhejiang Province/ Shanxi Xiangyuan County/ Changzhi City – A Navy Hongdu JL-8 plane (82003) crashed. The 2 pilots ejected safely.

  • US/ FL/ Naples/ Naples Municipal Airport (KAPF) – A North American T-6G Texan plane (N22NA) crashed on takeoff. No injuries.

 

24.10.2014

  • Bahamas/ North Eleuthera/ Atlantic Ocean/ near North Eleuthera Airport (MYEH) – A Cessna 310R (N310WL) crashed into the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The deceased sole pilot onboard was recovered.

  • US/ WI/ near Bay City – A Cessna T210M Turbo Centurion plane (N761SU) crashed killing the pilot.

  • France/ Ain/ Bellegarde-Vovray airfield (LFHN) – An AutoGyro Calidus (83-AMW) crashed on takeoff injuring the pilot seriously.

  • US/ IN/ Posey County/ NW of Mount Vernon – A Zenith STOL CH-701 (N34WS) struck power lines and crashed killing the pilot.

  • US/ CA/ Mojave/ Kern County/ NE of Mojave Airport (KMHV) – A training Slingsby T67M-260 Firefly aerobatic airplane (N456FR) crashed killing the 2 occupants.

  • US/ AZ/ near Globe – A Papa 51 Thunder Mustang plane (N244SW) made an emergency landing. The pilot received minor injuries.

  • Italy/ Trodena – An Eurocopter AS-350B3 Ecureuil helicopter (I-DUEK) made an emergency landing.

  • Nepal/ Dolpa – An ambulance Eurocopter AS-350B2 Ecureuil helicopter (9N-AKA) crashed. The 2 occupants received minor injuries.

  • Canada/ Ottawa International Airport – A light plane was performing a test flight when it crash landed on the runway. No injuries.

  • Congo (DR), 2 km (1.3 mls) from Shabunda Airport – Biega Airways Let L-410UVP cargo plane (9Q-COT) crashed on approach. Both pilots sustained serious injuries.

  • Germany/ Usedom Island/ south of Heringsdorf/ Garz/ Kamminke Harbor – A Socata TB-9 Tampico plane (D-EURE) crashed into the waters killing the pilot.

  • US/ NY/ NE of Deposit/ near Tompkins – A Piper PA-22-150 Tri-Pacer (N8064Y) impacted roadside terrain. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ TX/ Jacksonville/ East of Cherokee County Airport (KJSO) – A STOL UC-1 Twin Bee (N950TB) force landed to a field. Two of the four occupants onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ FL/ Crystal River/ Crystal River Airport (KCGC) – A Beech 95-B55 Baron made a belly landing. No injuries.

  • New Zealand/ North of Auckland/ Paddock near Wilkers Rd at Dairy Flat – A Thatcher CX4 aircraft (ZK-CXY) came to rest upside down in a paddock. The pilot sustained minor injuries.

  • US/ IL/ Hillyard/ Macoupin County/ SE of Plainview – A Sonex HB plane (N244HB) made an emergency landing on a field. The plane flipped over killing the pilot and injuring the passenger.

  • US/ TX/ Brownsville/ near Brownsville/ South Padre Island Int'l Airport (KBRO) – A Cessna 210 (XB-NCZ) force landed to open field terrain. The 2 occupants onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ WV/ Valley Point/ West of Valley Point Airport (WV29) – A Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee (N5601U) crashed in a field injuring seriously the 2 occupants.

  • Spain/ Pontevedra/ near Curro – A Piper PA-28R-180 Cherokee Arrow (EC-FRL) was damaged in a forced landing in a wooded area close to a road due to an engine failure. The 4 occupants were injured.

  • Australia/ NSW/ Singleton Shire/ Putty – A Cessna 172G Skyhawk plane (VH-ZZD) performed an emergency landing in a heavily wooded paddock. The pilot was seriously injured in the crash.

  • US/ TX/ Dallas/ Plano/ NE of Addison Airport (KADS) – A Czech Sport PiperSport (N550PS) force landed to a golf course, coming to rest inverted in a water pond. No injuries.

  • Mexico/ Tlajomulco de Zuniga Jalisco - A Cessna 152 (XB-KHE) crashed on takeoff injuring the 2 occupants.

  • Canada/ ON/ Chatsworth/ West of S.R. 1 – A Challenger Ultra-Lite plane crashed shortly after takeoff. No injuries.

  • US/ CO/ Boulder/ near Boulder Municipal Airport (KBDU) – A Mooney M20F Executive 21 plane (N3539X) crashed on takeoff killing the pilot.

  • France/ Cannes-Mandelieu Airport – A Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter crashed during a maintenance work. One technician was injured.

 

28.10.2014

  • Ghana/ Accra-Kotoka Airport (ACC/DGAA) – Starbow BAe-146-200 passenger plane (N70PM) suffered a problem with the hydraulic system forced the crew to return to Accra. On landing the right hand main gear tyres deflated. Emergency slides were deployed after the aircraft came to a stop on the runway. Two passengers were injured during the evacuation.

  • US/ TX/ Kendall County, north of Boerne – A Van's RV-4 (N70PM) crashed and was consumed by the post-impact fire. The sole pilot onboard the airplane received serious injuries. He later died in the hospital.

  • US/ CA/ Santa Maria/ Santa Maria Public Airport (KSMX) – A light plane was destroyed in a hangar fire at Santa Maria Public Airport. One person sustained minor injuries.

  • Rwanda/ Nyabihu District/ Kintarume Cell/ Shyira Sector – A Robinson R44 helicopter crashed. The pilot and three tourists sustained minor injuries.

  • New Zealand/ Brunswick, northwest of Wanganui – An agricultural Hughes 500E helicopter (ZK-ITJ) crashed killing the pilot.

 

29.10.2014

  • US/ CA/ nr Naval Base Ventura County – A training Hawker Hunter Mk 58 crashed. The pilot did not survive the crash.

  • Netherlands Antilles/ 1,5 km (0.9 mls) off Sint Maarten-Juliana Airport (SXM) – A cargo Shorts 360-200 plane (N380MQ) crashed into the water off Sint Maarten-Juliana Airport (SXM), shortly after takeoff from runway 27. One of the crew members died, the other is still missing.

  • US/ FL/ New Smyrna Beach/ New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport (KEVB) – A Curtiss P-40B Tomahawk IIA plane (N284CF) experienced a gear collapse and subsequent runway excursion upon landing. No injuries.

 

30.10.2014

  • US/ KS/ Wichita-Mid-Continent Airport (ICT) – A Beechcraft B200 Super King Air plane (N52SZ) crashed into a building at Mid-Continent Airport in Wichita, Kansas, during takeoff. The pilot and three persons inside the building died in the accident. Five other were injured.

 

31.10.2014

  • Germany/ Trebbin-Schonhagen – A Mooney M20M (D-EAJK) crash-landed after second approach. The pilot received minor injuries.

  • US/ AL/ Lillian/ WNW of Ban Farm Airport (AL88) – An experimental aircraft impacted a power line and terrain. The sole pilot received minor injuries.

  • US/ CA/ east of Mojave - The Scaled Composites Model 339 SpaceShipTwo (N339SS), a suborbital rocket plane, suffered an accident near Mojave, California.
    One of the two pilots was killed, the other was injured.
