  • US/ OR/ 5 miles northwest of Newberg/ near Chehalem Airpark (17S) – A training Schweizer 269C helicopter (N2096W) crashed in a field during a routine night training flight. Both occupants died.

  • France/ Treilles (Aude) – A Piper PA-28-181 Archer III (F-HEHM) crashed and caught fire upon impact in a scrubland area. The pilot was killed.

  • US/ CA/ Hayward/ Hayward Executive Airport (KHWD) – An Aero Commander 680-F plane (N6253X) experienced a gear-up landing. No injuries.

  • US/ TX/ Quinlan/ near Rockin M Airport (T14) – A Piper PA-24-250 Commanche (N6168P) impacted open field terrain in an apparent near vertical descent shortly after takeoff. The two occupants onboard the aircraft received fatal injuries.

  • US/ VA/ Galax Hillsville/ near Twin County Airport (KHLX) – A Piper PA-28-151 Warrior (N43403) impacted open field terrain while on approach. The 2 occupants onboard received minor injuries.

  • France/ Alpes-de-Haute-Provence/ Redortiers – A Jodel D.140 (F-BMFT) impacted trees. Both occupants were injured.

  • Switzerland/ Chlein Seehorn/ Klosters-Serneus – A Rolladen-Schneider LS8-18 glider (HB-3364) crashed killing the pilot.

  • US/ WA/ 7 miles south of Asotin – A Hughes 269C helicopter (N9490F) crashed killing the 2 occupants.

  • US/ ID/ Twin Falls/ near Magic Valley Regional Airport (KTWF) – A Piper PA-18-135 Super Cub (N8086C) experienced a ground loop during a force landing. No injuries.

  • US/ SD/ west of Gettysburg/ Lake Oahe – A Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter (N824DK) crashed on takeoff. No injuries.

 

02.07.2015

  • Maldives/ 3 km off Kuredu Island Resort, Lhaviyani Atoll - Trans Maldivian Airways de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter 300 float plane (8Q-MAN) sank off Kuredu Island Resort following a landing accident.

  • US/ UT/ Provo/ near Bulldog Field - The hot air balloon, a Pink Pig named Seymour (N7148P), experienced a midair collision with a Bucking Bronco named Steamboat (another balloon, N11UW), and a subsequent force landing to a tree. The balloon sustained substantial damage and the sole pilot onboard received minor injuries. There were no other injuries reported.

  • Angola/ Cuanza Sul/ Conda – An ambulance Aerospatiale AS 365N3 Dauphin 2 helicopter (D2-EWA) crashed killing all 6 occupants onboard.

  • Russia/ Leningrad Oblast/ Lomonosovsky District/ Gostilitsy Airfield – An Aero Commander 680 plane ran to the airport apron during maintenance and struck 3 other standing aircrafts. The plane was damaged too. No injuries.

 

03.07.2015

  • Russia/ West Siberia/ Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area UtAir Mi-8 helicopter (RA-22589) crashed killing all 5 occupants onboard, 3 crew-members and 2 doctors.

  • Russia/ near Kushchevskaya Air Base – A MiG-29 fighter jet crashed during training flight. The pilot is a general. He ejected safely.

  • US/ CO/ Summit County/ Frisco/ near St. Anthony Medical Center – An Airbus Helicopter AS350B3e (N390LG) impacted parking lot terrain shortly after takeoff. The pilot onboard received fatal injuries. Two of the three crew onboard the aircraft were seriously injured.

  • US/ IL/ south Bartlett/ DuPage County Forest Preserve – A Cessna 172P Skyhawk (N62681) was destroyed by impact with open field terrain. The sole pilot onboard the airplane received fatal injuries.

  • US/ AL/ off Orange Beach – A Consolidated PBY-6A Catalina plane (N85U) became beached on a sand bar on the shore. The aircraft began taking water and a pump was used to remove the water from the inside of the plane. Initial attempts to free the plane using two tractors failed because a cable snapped. During attempts to hoist the Catalina onto a barge the fuselage broke.

  • China/ Sanya Airport (SYX/ZGSY) – A Boeing 737-83N (WL) plane (B-5122), China Southern Airlines flight CZ3081 from Guangzhou, China to Bangkok, Thailand performed an emergency landing at Sanya Airport, China. The aircraft landed safely but 10 people were injured during the evacuation.

  • Germany/ Oberhavel/ Sommerfeld - A balloon crash landed. Nine occupants were injured, two of them seriously.

  • Canada/ ON/ SE of Grand Valley/ Rainbow Ridge Resort – An Aero Commander 112 plane (C-GNEJ) force landed to campground terrain due to an engine failure. No injuries.

  • Canada/ MB/ RM of Wallace/ NW of Virden/ near Highway 83 – An agricultural plane crashed injuring seriously the pilot.

  • US/ TX/ east Shenandoah/ Woodforest Bank Stadium – A Cessna 172D Skyhawk (N2320U) force landed to a stadium parking lot. The airplane came to rest inverted. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • UK/ Oxfordshire/ Enstone/ Enstone Airfield (EGTN) – A Pegasus Quik trike (G-CBYE) crashed killing the 2 occupants.

  • Austria/ Seitenstetten Airfield (LOLT) – A training Pilatus B4-PC11 glider crashed. The pilot suffered moderate injuries.

  • US/ AK/ Wasilla/ near Tidewater Airport (77AK) – A Piper PA-18A 150 Super Cub (N9189D) force landed to timbered terrain, due to an engine failure. No injuries.

  • US/ ID/ Carey/ East of Hollow Top Airport (0U7) – A Piper PA-22-135 Tri-Pacer (N8195C) crashed. The sole pilot onboard received fatal injuries.

  • US/ MT/ south of Churchill/ Belgrade Junction – A trike impacted open field terrain during takeoff from a private field. The sole pilot onboard received serious injuries.

  • US/ MI/ St Clair Co/ Dickinson Island/ west of Algonac - Two men were rescued from a tree on Dickinson Island in St. Clair County Saturday afternoon after their ultralight aircraft (N31762) malfunctioned and became entangled in branches. The 2 occupants onboard received minor injuries.

  • Canada/ BC/ Vancouver Island/ Duncan/ Duncan Airport (CAM3) - A Cessna plane crashed on an embankment and flipped upside-down at the Duncan Airport. The 2 occupants onboard received serious injuries.

  • US/ TX/ Portland/ North Shore Country Club – An Aeronca 7BCM/L-16 Champ plane (N10497) impacted shoreline terrain killing the 2 occupants.

  • US/ OR/ Salem/ McNary Field Airport (KSLE) – A Mooney M20E (N5608Q) impacted airport terrain and a post-impact fire ensued during a missed approach attempt. The sole pilot onboard received fatal injuries.

    between Miami Beach and Miami/ Biscayne Bay - A Piper PA-25-260 Pawnee banner tow plane (N4792Y) released the tow and ditched into Biscayne Bay off Star Island. The airplane submerged. No injuries.

  • US/ CA/ south Carlsbad/ near the Echina Power Station – A Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub banner tow plane (N8075P) released the tow and force landed to a beach. The airplane came to rest inverted. The pilot was not injured. One minor injury occurred on the ground.

  • US/ AK/ Anchorage/ SE of Ted Stevens Anchorage Int'l Airport (PANC) – A Cessna 182A Skylane (N4861D) experienced fuel exhaustion and force landed to a roadway near Potter Marsh, southeast of PANC. The airplane impacted a vehicle. No injuries.

  • Sweden/ Rommehed/ Borlange airport (ESSD) – A Paramotor crashed killing the pilot.

  • France/ Charente Maritime/ North of La Rochelle/ Marsilly A Flexwing microlight aircraft (44-AMY) crashed killing the pilot.

  • Philippines/ Barangay Mapawa – A parked Ayres S2R-G10 Thrush plane (RP-R1777) was damaged during an attack by guerillas from the New People's Army.

  • Switzerland/ Dittingen (LSPD) – An Extra 300 aircraft (HB-MSL) made a hard landing and broke the landing gear.

  • Finland/ Kuopio harbor – A Cessna 185C float equipped Air TAXI (OH-EHD) hit wave and aborted the takeoff. No injuries.

  • Philippines/ Cuenca – An Agusta A109E Power helicopter (RP-C2726) crashed on Mt. Maculot in bad weather. The pilot died at the spot. One of the occupants died in the hospital due to his injuries. The other 6 occupants onboard were injured too.

  • US/ IN/ Crawfordsville/ near Crawfordsville Municipal Airport (KCFJ) – An agricultural Cessna 188B plane (N625EH) clipped power lines during an aerial application flight and impacted farm field terrain. The airplane came to rest inverted. The sole pilot onboard was injured.

  • Switzerland/ Moleson Mountain/ near Gruyeres – An ultra light plane struck the mountain killing the pilot.

  • UK/ England/ West Midlands/ Shropshire/ Shifnal Airfield – A Rans S-6ES Coyote II plane (G-CDVF) impacted airport terrain shortly after takeoff. The airplane came to rest inverted. The 2 occupants onboard the aircraft received serious injuries.

  • France/ Haute Savoie/ Gruffy – An ultra light helicopter crashed. The pilot received serious injuries.

  • US/ OH/ Clermont Co/ Pierce Twp/ Legendary Run Golf Course An Aviat A-1C-180 Husky aircraft (N354BM) force landed to a Clermont County golf course, OH. The sole pilot received minor injuries.

  • Canada/ ON/ near Warminster – A Aeronca 15AC plane (C-FDDH) force landed to open field terrain. The floatplane came to rest inverted. No injuries.

  • Australia/ NSW/ Maitland – A Just Aircraft Super STOL aircraft made a hard landing and collapsed the landing gear during short landing demonstration. No injuries.

  • Germany/ Mulheim an der Mosel – An Aerokopter AK1-3 (F-PAKZ) dropped into the river shortly after takeoff. No injuries.

  • Germany/ Schneppenheim – A Comco Ikarus C42 plane landed on a corn field after the pilot encountered an engine problem. The plane overturned. No injuries.

  • US/ AK/ Birchwood/ near Birchwood Airport (PABV) – A Cessna 180 Skywagon (N1755C) force landed to marshland terrain shortly after takeoff due to an engine failure. No injuries.

  • Yemen/ Samar district – A Denel Dynamics Seeker 200 military drone was shot down by Yemen forces.

  • US/ TX/ West of Chico – A Colonial C-1 Skimmer amphibious seaplane (N257B) experienced fuel exhaustion and force landed to a field. The sole pilot onboard received serious injuries.

  • Russia/ Khurba Air Base (KXK/UHKK) – A military Sukhoi Su-24M2 crashed on takeoff. Both pilots died.

  • Libya/ Misrata Air Defense Base - Libya Air Force MiG-25 jet and 3 other aircrafts were destroyed during an Islamic State affiliate attack. Bombs exploded at the airbase and a fire erupted.

  • Kenya/ Inside KDF camp in Boni Forest - Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Hughes MD500 Defender helicopter lost power when it attempted to land and crashed. Both pilots were critically injured and died in the hospital due to their injuries.

  • Russia/ 500 m. near runway of Pskov Airport – A Quest Kodiak 100 plane (N642RM) made an emergency landing in a wooded area. Both occupants received minor injuries.

  • US/ NY/ West of Milford – A Cessna T210L Turbo Centurion (N59024) force landed to cornfield terrain due to an engine failure. The sole pilot onboard received serious injuries.

  • UK/ Essex/ Stapleford Aerodrome – An Aerospatiale SA 342J Gazelle helicopter (YU-HET) had completed maintenance and was being ground run by a mechanic when the aircraft inadvertently became airborne. The helicopter then crashed to the ground substantially damaging its undercarriage.

  • US/ SC/ Lewis Field Plantation in Moncks Corner - — An F-16 fighter jet (96-0085) smashed into a Cessna 150M (N3601V) over South Carolina, killing two people and raining down plane parts and debris over a wide swath of marshes and rice fields. The F-16 pilot apparently safely bailed out of the plane.

  • UAE/ near Dubai-Skydive Dubai Campus – A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (DU-SD1) suffered a technical problem after takeoff, forcing the pilot to carry out a forced landing in the desert. All aboard escaped unharmed. However a fire broke out which consumed the aircraft.

  • US/ TX/ Houston/ near George Bush Intercontinental/ Houston Airport (KIAH) – A Cirrus SR22 (N422PB) experienced an apparent deployment of the CAPS parachute and subsequent force landing to residential terrain. The 2 occupants onboard received minor injuries.

  • Canada/ BC/ Okanagan Valley/ Osoyoos/ north of Osoyoos Airport (CBB9) – A Beech A36 Bonanza (C-GPDK) impacted a vehicle and adjacent trees during a force landing. The sole pilot onboard received serious injuries.

  • Tanzania/ Leguruki section of Meru – A Bell 206B Jet Ranger helicopter (5H-MWK) crashed shortly after takeoff in bad weather. The 4 occupants, including a Tanzanian Member of Parliament, were injured.

  • Russia/ Irkutsk region/ Slyudyanka district/ 49 km from Baikalsk – A Robinson R66 helicopter (RA-05773) made a hard landing on the bank of a river. No injuries.

  • Argentina/ Ezpeleta Airport (EZP) - A Piper PA-22-108 Colt (LV-FZV) crashed following a mid-air collision with Cessna 172 (LV-GYV). The Cessna 172 was damaged but managed to land. The pilot of the Piper died.

 

08.07.2015

  • Australia/ VIC/ Lethbridge/ Lethbridge Airpark (YLED) – A Sonex Aircraft (19-7093) impacted airport terrain shortly after takeoff. The sole pilot onboard received fatal injuries.

  • China/ Hefei Xinqiao International Airport (HFE/ZSOF) - Hainan Airlines Boeing 737-84P (B-5636), flight HU7244, returned to land at Hefei Xinqiao International Airport (HFE), China when the crew received an indication of fire or smoke in the cargo hold when the aircraft was climbing through an altitude of 5100 m. The airplane landed safely. During the evacuation, 3 passengers were injured.

  • South Africa/ Eastern Cape/ East London Airport (FAEL) – A Maule M-7-235 Super Rocket (ZS-LSV) carrying 2 adults and 3 children crashed. Both adults were seriously injured and children received minor injuries.

  • Australia/ NSW/ Hunter Valley/ Bishops Bridge – A Pitts Model 12 plane (VH-JDZ) crashed killing the pilot.

  • US/ LA/ West of Glenmora – A Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee (N3949K) impacted grass field terrain shortly after takeoff in gusting wind conditions. The airplane came to rest inverted in a ditch. The 2 related occupants onboard received serious injuries.

  • China/ Zhejiang province/ Jiande city/ Tongyong airport – A Bell 407 helicopter crashed killing 2, injuring 5 occupants onboard.

  • Canada/ ON/ Haliburton/ Haliburton/Stanhope Municipal Airport (CND4) A Cessna P210R Centurion (C-GVPR) experienced a runway overrun upon landing. The airplane came to rest inverted. No injuries.

  • Canada/ ON/ Kawartha Lakes/ Sturgeon Lake/ north of Lindsey – A floatplane experienced an apparent gear-down landing upon the waters of Sturgeon Lake. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • Turkey/ Carsamba-Samsun – A Socata TB10 Tobago (TC-GYZ) landed the plane on a beach and the nose of the plane ditched into the sea. No injuries.

  • US/ WA/ Renton/ Renton Municipal Airport (KRNT) – A Cessna 150J (N12MM) impacted airport terrain and came to rest on the East Perimeter Road at KRNT, WA. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ FL/ Tampa/ KTPA Tampa International Airport – A Cessna P210N (N4669K) landed without the nose gear deployed. No injuries.

  • Mexico/ Coahuila/ East of Torreon – A Cessna T206H Turbo Stationair (XB-MBC) crashed and was consumed by fire. All 3 occupants died in the crash.

  • Canada/ BC/ 81mi W of Williams Lake/ Chilcotin District/ Puntzi Lake – An Air Tractor AT-802F Fire Boss firefighting plane crashed while scooping water from a lake and sank. No injuries.

  • US/ FL/ Palatka/ Palatka Municipal Airport (28J) – A Mustang II aircraft (N59PB) experienced a loss of directional control and subsequent runway excursion upon landing. The airplane came to rest inverted. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ FL/ Eustis/ Mid Florida Air Service Airport (X55) - A training Luscombe 8A (N28864) crashed in the front yard of a Mount Dora home after its engine malfunctioned. No injuries.

  • Lebanon/ N off Tripoli – An Elbit Hermes 450 drone (706) apparently crashed as a result of a technical malfunction.

  • Brazil/ MG/ Divinopolis – A Tecnam P-92 Echo plane (PU-JCA) crashed and caught fire. Both occupants onboard died.

  • Austria/ Innsbruck – A glider crash-landed. The pilot was injured.

  • Canada/ Nova Scotia/ near Debert airport – A military Schweizer SGS 2-33A glider crashed 100 meters short of the runway of the military airport. One occupant was injured.

  • US/ WA/ North Cascades/ west of Mazama – A Beech A35 Bonanza (N8749A) crashed in the mountain killing a couple. A teen girl onboard, Autumn Veatch, received minor injuries and survived.

  • Canada/ AB/ 57km NE of Slave Lake - A Bell 412 helicopter was helping battle wildfires when it crashed. The sole pilot onboard was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

  • US/ WA/ North Cascades/ Twin Sisters Mountain/ east of Acme – A Piper PA-22-160 Tri-Pacer (N9712D) crashed in bad weather. The 2 related occupants onboard received fatal injuries.

  • Switzerland/ Courtelary – A training glider crashed on landing beside the runway. No injuries.

 

12.07.2015

  • US/ UT/ Garfield County/ west of Escalante – A Robinson R22 Beta helicopter (N441MM) impacted open field mountainous terrain. The pilot and his teenage son survived a helicopter crash Sunday near Escalante, with the father seriously injured and the boy escaping with minor cuts and bruises.

  • Spain/ near Vilanova del Camí – An Ultramagic S-160 hot air balloon (EC-MCA) crashed. The pilot died in the crash. Five passengers were injured as well as a person on the ground.

  • US/ NJ/ Stafford Township – A Cessna 210-5A (205) plane (N315EC) force landed to a major roadway. No injuries.

  • US/ WI/ Racine County/ Franksville/ Cindy Guntly Memorial Airport (62C) – A Mosquito helicopter impacted cornfield terrain. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • US/ PA/ Lebanon/ Keller Brothers Airport (08N) – An ultra light plane crashed. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • South Africa/ Pietermaritzburg/ Oribi Airport – A Bell 407 helicopter was damaged in a fire of the runway at the airport.

  • US/ RI/ Westerly/ Westerly State Airport (KWST) – A Piper PA-34-200T Seneca II (N1597X) experienced a gear-up landing during a precautionary return to the point of departure. The sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.

  • Iran/ West of Kharg Island/ 15 mi off Abouzar oil platform – An Agusta A109E Power helicopter (EP-TRK) crashed. All 4 occupants died in the crash.

  • US/ CA/ Chester/ Rogers Field Airport (O05) – A Cessna 177RG Cardinal (N2180Q) experienced a gear-up landing. No injuries.

  • France/ Le Grand Blachas/ near Eygliers – A Pipistrel Taurus 503 glider (34-ABF), with father and his son onboard, crashed. The father died, and his son was severely injured.

  • US/ AK/ Kenai/ Dinglestadt Glacier – A Cessna 140 plane (N72784) impacted mountainous terrain and came to rest inverted. No injuries.

  • Australia/ NT/ 200 kilometres south-east of Alice Springs/ Deep Well Station – A Robinson R44 helicopter (VH-VOH) crashed. The pilot received minor injuries.

  • Congo DR/ North Kivu/ International Airport of Goma – A Fokker F50 (9Q-CJB), operated by Compagnie Africaine d'Aviation (CAA), failed to takeoff, because landing gear was inadvertently retracted by flight crew. The plane crashed on the runway, cracking the fuselage of the plane.

  • Norway/ 300 m North of Hamar Airport – An Aerospool WT-9 Dynamic light plane (LN-YSM) crashed near the runway killing one of the two occupants on impact. The other occupant died in hospital next day.

  • Brazil/ MG/ Tumiritinga – A Flyer Pelican 500BR ultra light aircraft (PU-OVC) crashed and caught fire. Both occupants died.

  • Russia/ 80km from Khabarovsk - Russian Air Force Tupolev TU-95MS strategic bomber crashed during an unarmed training flight. The crew bailed out. Two crew members died, 5 survived.

  • Switzerland/ Guggigletscher/ Lauterbrunnen – An Aerospatiale AS 350B3 Ecureuil helicopter (HB-ZIS) crashed and burst into flames. The pilot died in the crash.

  • US/ TX/ NE of Cedar Lake/ San Bernard Refuge – A Piper PA-32-300 Cherokee Six (N555PK) impacted brush land terrain. The 2 occupants onboard received fatal injuries.

  • Russia/ near Vorkuta – A Mi-8T helicopter (RA-22375) made an emergency landing and the aircraft was damaged. No injuries.

  • UK/ Hampshire/ Alresford/ near West Tisted/ Ropley – A Tipsy T.66 Nipper aircraft (G-NIPS) impacted terrain injuring the sole pilot onboard.

  • US/ MO/ Festus/ SE of Festus Memorial Airport (KFES) – A Cessna 182B Skylane (N2764G) impacted wooded terrain. The sole pilot onboard landed uninjured by parachute.

  • Russia/ Leningrad Oblast/ Kingiseppsky District – A Flylab Tucano aircraft (I-1754) crashed killing the pilot.

 

15.07.2015

  • Ireland/ County Longford/ Abbeyshrule – A Westland Gazelle HT3 helicopter (G-BXTH) rolled over after impacting an obstruction during an attempted landing at the back of the Rustic Inn pub. No injuries.

  • Spain/ Lugu/ Doade airbase – A PZL-Mielec M-18B Dromader fire fighting plane (EC-FAT) crashed upon takeoff. The pilot was injured.

  • Germany/ Oschersleben – A Scheibe SF 25C Falke motorized glider failed to climb after takeoff. The left wing broke off during the emergency landing. No injuries.

  • US/ WA/ Laurier/ Avey Field Airport (69S) – A Piper PA-28-151 Warrior (C-GDYN) overran the runway and struck a tree upon landing. The pilot was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

  • US/ NY/ Dunkirk/ North of Chautauqua County/Dunkirk Airport (KDKK) – A Cessna 162 Skycatcher (N6047W) crashed shortly after takeoff, into a wooded area. The pilot was injured.

  • Russia/ Kamchatka Peninsula/ near Kurile Lake - The tail rotor of the Mi-2 helicopter collided with trees near the helipad on takeoff. No injuries.

  • India/ Jaisalmer - A military drone obviously crashed due to a technical malfunction.

  • US/ KY/ London/ Laurel River Lake/ Holly Bay – A Progressive Aerodyne Searey plane (N236JY) crashed into the lake. No injuries.

  • Australia/ QLD/ Beaver Rock near Maryborough – A light plane crashed injuring the 2 occupants onboard.

  • Syria/ 6.2 miles east of Jisr al-Shughour/ Tal Khattab – Probably Turkish drone had been shot down by Syrian Defense Forces.

 

17.07.2015

  • US/ AK/ between Juneau and Hoonah/ between Point Howard and Point Couverden - Wings of Alaska Cessna 207A (N62AK) crashed killing 1, injuring 4 occupants, two of them seriously. At 12:53 p.m., there was light rain reported at the Juneau airport, according to the National Weather Service website.

The Ministry of National Defence has announced there are no survivors among people on board Lao People’s Army Mi-17MT helicopter (RDPL-34062) which crashed in Longcheng district, Xaysomboune province on Monday. A search team located the helicopter crash site north of Luangphanxay village, Longcheng district, on Wedneday.
Investigations into the cause of the incident are going on. A bad weather condition was believed to be the cause of the accident. The helicopter lost contact with the Aviation Control Centre shortly after it left Vientiane en route to Xieng Khouang and Houaphan provinces on Monday afternoon. The aircraft was carrying 4 crew members and 19 passengers on board. A rescue team of the Lao army said the efforts to retrieve dead bodies of a helicopter accident were highly hampered by numerous difficulties as the aircraft crashed in a mountainous area.

  • Russia/ Moskva-Domodedovo Airport (DME) RusLine Embraer EMB-120ER Brasilia (VQ-BBX) carried out a nose gear-up landing. No injuries.

  • UK/ Blackbushe Airport (BBS/EGLK) - Salem Aviation Embraer EMB-120ER Brasilia jet (HZ-IBN) was destroyed when it crashed into a car auction, killing all four occupants. Among the passengers were the stepmother and sister of Osama bin Laden.

  • Colombia/ near Codazzi – A military CASA CN-235M-200 plane (FAC1261) was destroyed when it impacted terrain. All 11 persons on board sustained fatal injuries.
